It’s definitely a sign of better times for the music industry; Scottish DJ Calvin Harris caused a ruckus when news of him hitting KL spread like bushfire. Fans grabbed tickets, and organiser Future Sound Asia even printed additional tickets at the door, much to their delight but there was only so much Vertigo Club could take. If you were there, you could see the dancefloor was packed with eager mainstream fans as well as electro house addicts, and filled to its brim. And that’s what a party should be like!
Burns, Goldfish & Blink and Nick Haydez did a great job warming up the crowd, and by the time Calvin hit the decks 30 minutes passed midnight, everyone was pretty pumped up. We’re still reeling from the night, and while Calvin hardly said a word or two, we forgave him because he spun catchy hits like ‘Feels So Close’, ‘We Found Love’, ‘You Used To Hold Me’ and ‘Bounce’.
