The Cistercian Trappist monks of Chimay have been brewing Belgian beers and Trappist chesse since 1862 in order to provide and support those in their region. The beer has a golden honey body with the delicious scent of pears and bananas, when combined give it an overall sweet caramel taste. Like most Trappist beers, you will notice the bitterness of the hops as well as that distinct pine taste. Known for having a heavy body as well as high amounts of carbonation.
