This is another type of Trappist beer that has not changed much since its early years. If you someone who dislikes the bitter tastes of beer, you can opt to try this one out thanks to its very unique scent. You will be able to smell raisin, plum and sugar in its aroma before the early malt fragrance hits your nose. Don’t be fooled thinking that this is a girls beer, take a gulp and you can taste the fresh yeast with a light taste of hops which completes its character as a strong beer. Heavy bodied with low carbonation. Like most of the Chimay, Trappist beers available, this is a top fermented beer that goes trough fermentation when bottled.
