Talk about a place that takes itself seriously. Located in a colonial bungalow off Asian Heritage Row, Vanity Mansion sure does live up to its name as club, restaurant and karaoke with 7 private rooms, in every sin – Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Vanity.
The I-shaped bars in the alfresco area are equipped with two beer taps so waiters can help you quench your thirst quicker while you listen to the house band or enjoy some tapas with friends. The names of drinks here lean heavily on puns– Sexual Eruption, Vanity Illusion and the rest of the deadly sins. Being a bad boy/girl here will earn you points but no one’s keeping score, really.
Their menu serves French and Italian food with an Asian twist. Try the crispy soft shell crab with avocado cream salsa and dried tomato watercress salad. Price range: RM40-70 per person. 7 Sins Shots go for RM30 for 7 shots! A glass of any one of the 7 Sins Cocktails costs RM21. Our favourite was Greed, a heady blend of white rum, galliano, orange marmalade, monin spicy mango and mango juice. A half pint of Tiger Draught is RM13 and a jug is RM49.
